Job summary

Avangrid seeks a VP – Power Purchasing, Transmission, & Growth to lead high‑impact sourcing and insurance strategies supporting renewable generation, transmission growth, and capital projects. You will guide complex procurement decisions, manage key supplier relationships, and drive governance, risk, and performance across a large matrix organization.

The role requires executive presence, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to align purchasing and insurance with strategic business

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, insurance, or related executive roles.
• Experience leading complex organizations and high‑value negotiations in a large matrixed environment.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders in ambiguous or high‑stakes situations.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic vision and priorities for Power Purchasing, Transmission growth procurement, and Insurance.
• Oversee sourcing, negotiations, and contract strategies for complex equipment and services supporting renewable generation, BESS, transmission growth, and O&M.
• Provide executive oversight for Avangrid’s insurance strategy, risk financing, renewals, and claims strategy.
• Champion continuous improvement, digital enablement, and data-driven decision-making in procurement and insurance.
• Lead and develop a senior procurement and insurance team and foster a culture of accountability.
