Job summary

OneMain Financial is seeking a dynamic credit leader to develop and manage integrated underwriting strategies for its personal loan portfolio. The role focuses on risk-adjusted growth through data-driven decisions, pricing optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

The candidate will lead a high-performing team, design scalable credit infrastructure, and partner with product, finance, and risk to improve credit performance while communicating strategy to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in consumer lending with pricing, credit strategy, and risk analytics.
• 5+ years of leadership, including team development and strategic planning.
• Proven ability to develop innovative, data-driven solutions to complex business problems.
• Strong knowledge of pricing optimization tools, credit decisioning frameworks, and customer segmentation.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of underwriting strategies balancing risk, margin, and volume.
• Design and scale credit infrastructure to support automated risk management and valuations.
• Create and drive strategic credit initiatives aligned with enterprise goals.
• Build, lead, and coach a high-performing team of credit analysts and managers.
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous development.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for executive leadership.
• Partner with product, finance, risk, and operations teams to drive improved credit performance.
• Communicate strategy progress, performance, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
