Job summary

Miami City Ballet seeks a Vice President of Human Resources to provide strategic leadership for people, culture, and employment practices. You will serve as a trusted adviser to the Executive Director and senior leaders, shaping organizational structure and workforce systems to advance the mission.

The role balances employee care with institutional responsibility, requiring sound judgment, discretion, and a deep knowledge of employment practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Experience in performing arts or nonprofit environment preferred.
• Willing to relocate to Miami, Florida and work onsite.
• Strong knowledge of employment practices and US employment law.

Responsibilities

• Organizational strategy and workforce planning in collaboration with the senior leadership.
• Serve as trusted advisor to the Executive Director and senior leaders on people, structure, culture and performance.
• Lead talent acquisition and onboarding aligned with organizational needs.
• Develop compensation practices and oversee benefits and workforce systems.
• Ensure HR policies, compliance, and risk management are up to date.
