Job summary

LA Opera is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations to lead all aspects of the company's people strategy. Reporting to the CEO, you will partner with the executive team to guide organizational culture, compensation, benefits, recruitment, and EDIB programs while safeguarding fiscal health.

You will negotiate major labor agreements, advise senior leadership, and steward a high-performing, diverse workforce across administrative staff, artists, and production teams

Qualifications

Ten years of leadership experience in HR and labor relations, ideally in a unionized setting.
Experience guiding HR, labor relations, compensation, benefits, and talent development at a senior level.
Strong strategic mindset with ability to advise the CEO and Board on people initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for HR, labor relations, compensation, benefits, and talent development.
Oversee workforce planning, organizational development, EDIB initiatives, and internal communications.
Negotiate and manage labor agreements, counsel executives, and align people strategy with fiscal health.
