Job summary

Monterey Bay Aquarium seeks a senior leader to run People & Culture, overseeing Employee & Labor Relations, People Analytics, Talent Acquisition, and Volunteer/Intern programs. This role ensures equitable experiences for all employees and volunteers while aligning strategy with data-driven insights and compliance.

You will lead cross-functional design, manage budgets, mentor teams, and partner with the VP of Talent Strategy to advance DEIA initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Minimum 10 years senior leadership experience across multiple P&C disciplines.
• Ability to lead change and manage conflict.

Responsibilities

• Lead the compliance, service-delivery, and data infrastructure backbone of the People & Culture function.
• Oversee employee and labor relations casework, workplace investigations, and performance/conduct matters.
• Develop long and short-term strategies to achieve MBA objectives and the People Operations vision.
• Set annual goals, workplans, and budgets for People Operations.
• Lead cross functional design and implementation of new programs, processes, and systems.
