Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking a Penetration Testing Lead - Vice President in Charlotte, NC, to orchestrate red team and penetration testing efforts across systems and networks. The role requires coordinating with stakeholders, mentoring the team, and delivering both technical and non-technical findings to C-level leadership.

The candidate will stay current on exploits, threats, and adversarial techniques while guiding testing operations and development of detections with the Detection Engineering Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in IT/cybersecurity or similar.
• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and attacker techniques.
• Experience with manual and automated security testing of networks and apps.

Responsibilities

• Triage vulnerabilities from security tools and tests; assess impact.
• Lead and conduct red team and penetration testing exercises.
• Coordinate penetration testing with 3rd party vendors and craft reports for executives.
