Job summary

Role Description

The Penetration Testing Lead will facilitate, manage, and conduct red team and penetration testing efforts. This a highly technical role in which you should have a solid understanding of information security concepts and proven effectiveness in coordinating large exercises while keeping key stakeholders informed.

The Penetration Testing Lead should stay up to date on exploits, new and emerging threats, adversarial techniques and tactics, and continues training on various live‑fire training environments.

In addition to technical expertise, the Penetration Testing Lead should be able to mentor the team to elevate their skills and challenge them to excel in their field taking care to make sure they can perform penetration testing and red teaming activities in a stealthy manner without causing any unnecessary stress or damage to the network or application being tested and rigorously adhere to rules of engagement.

The Penetration Testing Lead should also have a background in coordinating penetration test with 3rd party vendors including but not limited to drafting requests for proposals, rules of engagement as well as detailed reports for presentation to C level members on a non-technical level as well as technical reports to subject matter experts that will be used to remediate any findings.

Role Objectives
  • Triage identified vulnerabilities from security tools and penetration tests to assess impact
  • Carry out manual and automated security testing of systems and network infrastructure
  • Perform manual testing to validate vulnerabilities found via automated methods.
  • Perform re‑testing to confirm that vulnerabilities are properly remediated.
  • Support the Penetration Testing Services across the global bank.
  • Partner with Detection Engineering Team in Purple Team exercises to set up detections and mitigations i.e., Intrusion Prevention Systems, ensuring we have signatures in place to protect us from relevant threats.
  • Support culture of continuous improvement by proactively investigating new risks and opportunities to strengthen Bank's security posture
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor of Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar
  • Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • In-depth knowledge of network and web-based attacks
  • Diligent, proactive, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with large datasets, multi‑task, and effectively prioritize tasks
  • Strong critical analysis and problem‑solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multi‑task and remain productive in a service‑driven and results oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Qualifications - Preferred
  • CEH, OSCP, GPEN, GXPN, GWAPT certifications.
  • 7+ years of security, IT, compliance, audit, risk management, consulting, or application development experience.
  • CTF experience and writing penetration test reports describing exploit details and remediation plan(s).
  • Experience writing scripts and automate processes is a plus (PowerShell & Python).
  • Experience managing projects from initiation to closure.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies and containerized environments
