Job summary

First Internet Bank is seeking a Vice President, Payment Strategy and Operations to lead the enterprise payment operations strategy. You will guide modernization efforts across ACH, wires, real‑time payments, and card operations, ensuring scalable and compliant solutions aligned with growth goals.

You will partner with executive leadership to drive innovation, governance, and risk management while maintaining strong controls and business continuity across all payment channels.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in banking ops/payments with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to design and execute payment strategies, incl. real-time payments.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems, fintech integrations, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead enterprise‑wide payment operations strategy including real‑time payments and digital capabilities.
• Partner with senior leadership to align payments with growth objectives and fintech strategy.
• Identify trends and translate them into actionable strategies and solutions.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across payment platforms, processes, and experiences.
• Oversee payment operations through leadership of the VP, Payment Operations.
