Job summary

The Bancorp seeks a VP Payments Specialist to lead BSA/AML and Sanctions risk oversight for Fintech Solutions in a hybrid Wilmington, DE setting. You will guide enterprise risk decisions, coordinate with senior stakeholders, and ensure regulatory alignment across new products, implementations, and ongoing risk management.

Ideal candidates bring extensive BSA/AML expertise, strong communication, and a track record of partnering with business lines to balance compliance with operational goals.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant BSA/AML and Sanctions experience in progressively complex roles, including experience with fintech/payments.
• 3+ years of experience in a senior compliance role at a bank, card network, fintech, or payments industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Master's degree preferred.
• CAMS or CFE certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, Sanctions/OFAC, CIP/KYC and related financial-crime requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to interface with senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day oversight and guidance on BSA/AML and Sanctions issues for assigned businesses.
• Supports Deputy BSA/AML and Sanctions Officer in program coverage.
• Develops relationships with business leaders to promote a culture of compliance.
• Oversees development and improvement of processes and controls for assigned businesses.
• Manages CIP vendors and aligns with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains management reporting and executive summaries of activities and risk assessments.
• Advises on FCRM options, risks, costs, and business impact for new products and implementations.
• Ensures end-to-end transparency of risks and timely escalation of issues.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams across business, tech, legal, and audits.
• Represents FCRM strategy to leadership and aligns advisory expectations with business lines.
• Ensures FCRM solutions meet business needs and corporate standards.
• Contributes to regulatory exam readiness and audit documentation.
