The role covers assigned Fintech Solutions portfolios, including CIP oversight, new products and services, implementations, and day-to-day risk and issue management. It serves as a key FCRM partner to business and control stakeholders, applying risk-based judgment to translate regulatory expectations into practical, well-documented guidance and decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides day-to-day oversight and guidance on issues, matters, and inquiries related to the BSA/AML and Sanctions Program for the respective businesses, supporting the Deputy BSA/AML and Sanctions Officer in providing overall coverage of the program.
  • Develops close working relationships with business leaders and other stakeholders to advance a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Provides oversight and guidance on the development and improvement of processes and procedures for assigned businesses, identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Provides oversight of the Bank’s Customer Identification Program (CIP) vendors and processes to ensure alignment with Bank policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and maintains management reporting, monitoring, and tracking of Fintech Solutions issues related to the program, and prepares and delivers executive summaries of activities, actions, controls, and risk assessments for the area.
  • Provides strategic consultation to the Fintech Solutions business line and serves as FCRM lead for assigned new products, services, concepts, and implementations, planning and coordinating advisory activities, identifying dependencies and required stakeholders, and tracking deliverables through completion.
  • Advises business lines on FCRM options, risks, costs, benefits, and the impact of requirements on business processes and system priorities, developing clear, risk-based recommendations that balance regulatory requirements, control effectiveness, operational impact, and business objectives.
  • Maintains open communication channels to manage critical BSA/AML and Sanctions issues, serving as an escalation point and ensuring end-to-end transparency by promptly communicating material risks, blockers, dependencies, recommended actions, anticipated resolution timing, and pending decisions to business leaders and the Director FCRM Advisory.
  • Develops close working relationships with leaders, staff, and cross-functional stakeholders across business, technology, operations, legal, audit, and compliance to facilitate awareness, education, coordinated decision-making, and effective execution on business line issues in line with the Bank’s risk standards.
  • Represents business line strategies and priorities to FCRM leadership while aligning and representing the FCRM vision, risk appetite, and advisory expectations with the business lines.
  • Ensures FCRM solutions meet business needs and support short-term and long-term business goals and strategy.
  • Ensures that the BSA/AML and Sanctions risk management environment in the Fintech Solutions line of business is appropriately aligned with corporate policy and standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in preparation for regulatory examinations, independent audits, and other reviews, ensuring assigned documentation, risk assessments, decisions, and supporting materials are complete and examination-ready.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant BSA/AML and Sanctions experience in progressively complex roles, including experience working with financial services, fintech, payments, or business lines on regulatory and financial-crime risk matters.
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior compliance role at a bank, card network, fintech, or in the payments industry.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of BSA/AML, Sanctions/OFAC, CIP/KYC, and related financial-crime risk requirements preferred.
  • Deep understanding of key business and overarching program initiatives, with the ability to integrate business, legal, regulatory, technology, and operational considerations into risk-based recommendations preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to interface professionally with senior executives, business unit management, and staff, and to translate regulatory and risk matters into concise, decision-ready documentation preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple or shifting priorities and produce professional, accurate work under time constraints preferred.
  • Excellent follow-through and documentation discipline, with strong attention to detail and ownership of assigned work through successful handoff or completion preferred.
  • Collaborative team member able to work effectively in a high-paced, matrixed, multi-tasking environment and coordinate work across multiple stakeholders preferred.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex information to identify the critical issue and drive resolution preferred.
  • Experience with workflow, reporting, data-visualization, automation, or AI-enabled productivity tools preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • Documentation, risk assessments, and supporting materials are audit-ready and examination-ready.
  • Material issues are escalated promptly, with clear ownership, recommended actions, and anticipated resolution timing.

Why This Role Matters

This role strengthens business continuity, regulatory readiness, and scalable risk management by connecting BSA/AML and Sanctions subject-matter expertise with practical execution across business and control partners.

As Fintech Solutions products, services, and partnerships evolve, the role ensures financial-crime risk is identified and addressed as the business grows rather than after the fact, keeping the Bank’s program aligned with corporate policy, regulatory requirements, and the expectations of examiners and auditors.
