Job summary

State Street is seeking an analytics engineering lead, Vice President, reporting to the VP responsible for product, tooling, and transformation within the Global Technology Services Financial Operations Office.

This role owns the data and analytics products that make technology cost transparent and actionable, with near-term focus on Technology Financial Management and Total Cost of Ownership, including cost transparency, showback, and progressive chargeback, and Cloud FinOps, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field preferred; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• Experience owning a platform or product, setting development standards, and directing analysts, developers, and vendor resources.
• Demonstrated experience delivering governed data and analytics solutions on enterprise analytics stack and/or Microsoft Fabric and Power Platform.
• Hands-on experience with ingestion and refresh across heterogeneous source systems, plus SQL, Python, APIs, and lakehouse/data warehouse engineering.
• Strong data and semantic modeling skills across multiple source systems, with proficiency in DAX and transformation tooling like Power Query.
• Security and access control expertise for analytics platforms, including row-level and RBAC for sensitive data.
• Familiarity with infrastructure, cloud, SaaS, CMDB, service catalog, application inventory, and SDLC governance.
• Track record of lineage, documentation, controlled release, validation, and exception reporting for auditability.
• Experience with IT FinOps and cloud cost data, including cloud provider billing formats.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own cost intelligence data platforms end to end across technology financial management, total cost of ownership, Cloud FinOps, and future capabilities.
• Design governed data models and semantic layers turning cost allocations, infrastructure inventory, cloud billing exports, and commitment schedules into reusable business measures.
• Design and operate ingestion, transformation, and refresh across source systems, normalizing keys, schemas, and formats.
• Author and maintain calculation logic in languages such as DAX, ensuring deterministic results separate from estimates and forecasts.
• Define and enforce security and access model, including row-level and RBAC for sensitive data.
• Maintain lineage, documentation, definitions, versioning, testing, controlled promotion, validation, and exception reporting.
• Run product with roadmap, backlog, and support model covering triage, production stability, and continuous improvement.
• Set architecture and standards for vendor platforms, surge build capacity, analysts, and developers, coordinating with finance and FinOps teams.
