McLane is seeking a VP, Strategic Procurement to lead the enterprise-wide procurement strategy, driving value creation, cost efficiency, supplier performance, and scalability across a multi-billion-dollar spend portfolio.

The role architects procurement transformation through analytics, digital enablement, process optimization, and strong executive alignment to growth, margin expansion, and competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• Fifteen or more years in procurement, sourcing, merchandising, or supply chain.
• Significant leadership experience in distribution, food service, retail, or logistics environments.
• Proficient in English reading/writing for executive communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies that leverage scale to deliver best-in-market cost, product availability, and supplier performance.
• Align procurement with distribution network strategy, merchandising, and customer demand patterns.
• Drive competitive advantage through category strategy, private label development, and supplier innovation.
• Translate macro trends into actionable sourcing decisions.
• Build and lead executive-level relationships with national brands, manufacturers, growers, and logistics partners.
• Establish long-term supplier partnerships that ensure stability, innovation, and cost competitiveness.
