Job summary

Farm Credit Services is seeking a VP Solutions Engineering to lead architecture, data design, and integration engineering across software delivery. This role reports to the SVP Application Development and partners with product and development teams to craft scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that accelerate delivery while aligning with business goals.

The VP will champion engineering excellence, reusable design patterns, and modern practices, guiding trade-offs and risk management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, integration engineering, data engineering, or related disciplines, including demonstrated leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with application development teams to support solution design, planning, and delivery.
Establish reusable solution patterns, integration approaches, and engineering practices that improve delivery speed and quality.
Promote scalable, secure, maintainable, and well-integrated technology solutions.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to align delivery practices with architecture standards and principles.
Guide technical trade-off decisions and help teams balance business needs, risk, complexity, and investment.
Support modernization efforts through incremental improvements and practical application of modern engineering practices.
Drive adoption of quality automation, AI-assisted development, and engineering productivity capabilities where appropriate.
