Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly connected Vice President of Sales to lead the expansion of our retail sales channels across multiple product categories. This role is ideal for a strategic sales executive with deep retail buyer relationships and a proven track record of driving revenue growth in consumer products or home categories.

The VP of Sales will be responsible for building, managing, and executing go-to-market strategies in one or more of the following categories:

Kitchen, Bath, Home Furniture, Garage, Living Room, and Bedroom.

This role requires an individual who can bring immediate business opportunities, lead high-level retail negotiations, and shape sales infrastructure to support sustained growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead national retail sales strategy across assigned product categories
  • Build and manage strong relationships with major retailers and key buyers (e.g., Costco, Walmart, Target, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Wayfair, Amazon, etc.)
  • Drive new business development and expansion of retail placements
  • Partner closely with the product and marketing teams to align retail needs with development and promotional timelines
  • Develop and execute sell-in and sell-through plans tailored to each retailer
  • Analyze and monitor performance metrics to optimize assortment, pricing, and margin strategy
  • Develop sales forecasts and contribute to company revenue targets
  • Oversee and manage internal sales team or external rep groups as needed
  • Represent the company at trade shows, buyer meetings, and major industry events
  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery

Candidate Requirements:

  • 10+ years of senior sales leadership experience, ideally at the VP or Director level
  • Proven track record in selling into national retail accounts across at least one of the following: Kitchen, Bath, Home Furniture, Garage, Living Room, or Bedroom
  • Existing network of retail buyer relationships with mid- to large-size retailers
  • Strong understanding of product category management, pricing, merchandising, and retailer expectations
  • Ability to develop and lead sales strategy across multiple SKUs and categories
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product development, marketing, and operations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability
