Overview

Impact Staffing International (ISI) is seeking a Vice President of Sales to join our client's team in Atlanta, Georgia. This individual will lead and build a newly redesigned sales organization, overseeing the full sales team from entry-level associates through senior sales professionals managing complex enterprise opportunities. The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales leader with a proven track record of building or rebuilding sales organizations, developing high-performing sales professionals, and creating scalable, repeatable sales processes.

The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for bringing a newly designed sales structure to life, including a unified sales team, six-level career ladder, performance-based promotion structure, defined sales targets, and an Atlanta-based training program designed to develop early-career professionals into successful territory sellers.

This individual will own overall sales performance, team development, hiring, training, coaching, forecasting, territory strategy, market expansion, and sales culture. This is not an individual-contributor sales role; success will be measured by the performance and development of the overall sales organization.

The Vice President of Sales will report directly to the President and work closely with the CEO, ownership, Operations, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Finance.

Description

Our client is seeking a hands‑on sales leader who has experience building and developing successful sales organizations. This individual will oversee every level of the sales team and will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, promotion decisions, and overall team results.

The Vice President of Sales will own annual revenue and gross margin targets across the company's portfolio of recurring services, trades, and capital projects. This individual will also lead the company's Atlanta‑based sales training program, helping identify and develop early‑career sales talent and deploy successful graduates into priority markets.

The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in developing others and understands how to create a repeatable sales system rather than relying on individual top performers. This person should be comfortable remaining close to the field, attending sales meetings, coaching team members directly, and identifying specific opportunities for improvement.

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to build, lead, and continuously improve a scalable sales organization capable of delivering consistent revenue and gross margin growth.

This leader will be responsible for creating an environment where sales professionals have clear expectations, defined opportunities for advancement, strong coaching and development, and accountability for results.

Essential Functions
  • Lead the entire sales organization across six levels, from entry-level sales associates through senior enterprise sales professionals.

  • Own annual revenue and gross margin targets across recurring services, trades, and capital projects.

  • Maintain responsibility for the company's sales forecast and overall team results.

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, develop, and manage sales professionals.

  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold sales team members accountable to defined goals.

  • Oversee performance‑based promotion decisions and advancement through the company's sales career ladder.

  • Lead the Atlanta‑based entry-level sales training program, including recruiting, training, evaluating, and developing each class.

  • Manage the initial training and trial period and determine which participants progress within the organization.

  • Place successful training‑program graduates into markets and territories where they are positioned for success.

  • Provide hands‑on field coaching by attending sales meetings, evaluating performance, and providing actionable feedback.

  • Develop recommendations regarding market expansion, target verticals, territory design, and sales‑team structure.

  • Identify priority markets and determine where additional sales resources should be deployed.

  • Partner closely with Operations on project scoping, service capabilities, and market density.

  • Collaborate with Marketing on demand generation and sales‑support initiatives.

  • Work with Revenue Operations to maintain strong pipeline management, reporting, CRM discipline, and forecasting processes.

  • Partner with Finance on pricing, gross margin, and overall sales economics.

  • Establish and maintain sales standards, processes, expectations, and best practices across the organization.

  • Build a sales culture centered around accountability, teamwork, professional development, and consistent execution.

  • Maintain strong CRM discipline and ensure accurate pipeline management and reporting within HubSpot.

  • Evaluate the sales organization's performance and recommend improvements to processes, territories, team structure, and compensation models.

  • Ensure the sales organization meets aggregate gross margin targets and other established performance goals.

  • Develop sales professionals with the goal of creating a strong internal pipeline for future promotions and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional sales experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years of direct sales leadership experience.

  • Proven experience owning and achieving a team sales, revenue, or gross margin target.

  • Demonstrated success hiring, developing, coaching, and promoting sales professionals.

  • Previous experience building, rebuilding, or significantly transforming a sales organization.

  • Strong hands‑on coaching skills with the ability to observe sales interactions and provide specific, actionable feedback.

  • Experience developing salespeople at varying levels of experience and responsibility.

  • Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and CRM discipline.

  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM platform.

  • Ability to hold sales professionals accountable while taking ownership of overall team results.

  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn a technical or operationally complex industry.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Finance, and executive leadership.

  • Willingness to be based in Atlanta and travel regularly to company markets.

  • Experience selling complex, service‑based, recurring‑revenue offerings with longer sales cycles and multiple stakeholders strongly preferred.

  • Experience within facility services, commercial real estate services, construction, industrial services, or another field‑based business strongly preferred.

  • Experience designing or administering commission plans and sales territory models preferred.

  • Proven track record of building a sales team that increased production and performance year over year.

  • Experience developing early‑career sales professionals into successful territory or enterprise sellers strongly preferred.
