Job summary

FIS is seeking a strategic Vice President, Head of Money Movement Engineering to lead the product development of payments platforms including ACH, FedNow, and real-time rails. You will set the technical direction, modernize delivery and architecture, and scale the organization of 400+ engineers across multiple squads.

You will partner with Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Treasury to align product strategy with regulatory posture, ensure high availability, and deliver reliable

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in payments/financial services infra.
• 5+ years leading large engineering organizations (managers of managers).
• Demonstrated money movement domain knowledge across rails (ACH, FedNow, RTP, SWIFT).
• Experience scaling payments systems with strict consistency and durability requirements.
• Strong communication skills for C-suite and board audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year technical roadmap for payments and money movement systems (rails, ledgering, reconciliation).
• Architect for high availability, fault tolerance, and near-zero downtime.
• Set engineering standards for idempotency, auditability, and financial data integrity.
• Navigate card schemes, interchange, and network compliance.
• Lead 400+ engineers across multiple squads; recruit and develop leaders.
• Partner with Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Treasury on strategy and posture.
