Job summary

FIS is seeking a technical lead to drive ACH payment processing solutions. You will design, develop and maintain mainframe-based applications using COBOL, DB2 and JCL, guiding end-to-end delivery from design through production support.

You will mentor engineers, optimize performance, coordinate deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure and reliable payment platforms. On-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience.
• Extensive software engineering and technical leadership in financial services or payments.
• Strong expertise in ACH processing and payment systems architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery for ACH processing projects from design to production support.
• Design and maintain mainframe payment processing applications and optimize performance.
• Coordinate deployments, change management, and on-call support.
• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews and ensure quality across teams.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
