Job summary

FIS is seeking an accomplished executive to lead the Money Movement engineering organization. You will set the technical strategy for ACH, real-time payments, cross-border, and related rails, while scaling an engineering organization to deliver resilient, compliant payment platforms.

You will collaborate with Product, Finance, Risk, and Legal to align product strategy with regulatory requirements and drive operational excellence across 400+ engineers, ensuring uptime and investor confidence.

Qualifications

15+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in payments or financial services infrastructure.
5+ years leading large engineering organizations (managers of managers).
Demonstrated money movement domain knowledge.
Experience scaling payments systems to high throughput with strict consistency and durability requirements.
Strong communication skills for C‑suite and board audiences.
Executive-level advisory experience with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Define and own multi-year technical roadmap for payments and money movement systems.
Architect for high availability and near-zero downtime.
Drive engineering standards across data integrity and auditability.
Lead 400+ engineers across multiple squads and build a culture of excellence.
Partner with Product, Finance, Risk and Legal on strategy and regulatory posture.
Represent Technology in executive forums and board reporting.
