Job summary

State Street Corporation seeks a Technical Lead for the SWIFT & Payments Technology team in Massachusetts. You will provide technical leadership for critical payment infrastructure, guiding initiatives around SWIFT messaging, cross-border payments, ISO 20022, cloud transformation, and platform resiliency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12+ years of technology experience with at least 3-5 years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience supporting payments, SWIFT, ISO 20022, or financial messaging platforms.
• Cloud platform experience (Azure preferred).
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, site reliability engineering, and observability tools.
• Financial services industry experience strongly preferred.
• Willing to learn and support Swift network interface software applications including Linux, cloud hosted and Legacy Tandem applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of payments technology solutions.
• Drive architecture reviews and technical decision-making for strategic initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership for SWIFT, ISO 20022, payment messaging, and integration platforms.
• Partner with infrastructure, network, cloud, security, and application teams to improve platform resiliency and availability.
• Lead incident analysis, root cause investigations, and remediation efforts for critical production issues.
• Oversee delivery of technical projects, ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Mentor engineers and developers while promoting engineering best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors and external partners to resolve technical challenges and support platform modernization.
• Support audit, regulatory, and operational risk management activities
