Job summary

U.S Bank is seeking an experienced Payments Engineer to lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise payment platforms handling both domestic and international wire transfers.

You will work across SWIFT, CHIPS, Fedwire, and ISO 20022, applying cloud-native and API-driven approaches to deliver scalable, secure payment capabilities. Collaborate with business and tech teams to drive modernization and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in payments or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-scale payment processing platforms supporting domestic and international wire transfers.
• Lead the implementation and integration of payment solutions across SWIFT, CHIPS, Fedwire, and ISO 20022 ecosystems.
• Architect and modernize payment systems using cloud-native, distributed architectures and API-driven services.
• Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to deliver secure, scalable payment capabilities.
• Drive payment transformation initiatives including legacy platform modernization and migration to next-gen architectures.
