Job summary

NSI is seeking a strategic, hands-on VP of Operations to lead and scale our US manufacturing and logistics network from Illinois. This role requires deep experience in planning, manufacturing, supply chain, and P&L ownership, with a data-driven mindset and a track record of building scalable systems.

Based in Illinois with willingness to travel 25–30%, you will partner with the CEO to optimize S&OP, co-packers and 3PLs, improve OTIF and margins, and create a high-performing operations

Qualifications

• 15+ years in operations or related field.
• Experience managing a complex network of U.S. food manufacturing facilities and partners.
• Experience with 50+ facilities or partners is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing and food safety.
• Proven experience leading S&OP, forecasting, capacity planning, inventory planning, production and logistics.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, MPS, or similar planning systems.
• Demonstrated experience implementing dashboards, reporting, automation, or data infrastructure.
• Experience applying AI, automation, or advanced technology to Operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead S&OP, demand forecasting, capacity planning, inventory, and operational performance.
• Drive improvements in OTIF, service levels, quality, efficiency, and margins.
• Develop and diversify U.S. co-packer and co-manufacturing network.
• Develop strategic partnerships and negotiate agreements for capacity, quality, service and cost.
• Build and optimize U.S. 3PL and logistics network with strong partner relationships.
• Modernize operations with better systems, data visibility, automation, and AI.
