Job summary

Client (Global Manufacturer) seeks a Director/VP Level professional to oversee manufacturing operations, New Product Launches and ongoing performance across large contract sites. Location is flexible with travel to IN/NC/CA/TX and ~30% travel overall, leading supply chain readiness, tooling, and automation initiatives.

The role requires 15+ years of leadership in manufacturing, cross-functional collaboration, and proven success in high-volume launches and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience leading manufacturing and operations teams.
• Experience guiding cross-functional groups (engineering, quality, supply chain) through high-volume launches.
• Proven ability to resolve capacity, supply, and process readiness issues before production.
• Strong track record driving automation and continuous improvement across large contract manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Establish readiness across supply chain from suppliers to final assembly with clear milestones.
• Assess materials, tooling, equipment and staffing readiness for planned production.
• Close readiness gaps with engineering, quality, and manufacturing partners before launches.
• Manage impact of design changes, component variability, and volume shifts on operations.
• Lead automation improvements to deliver reliable production performance with site-team support.
• Use OEE to identify losses and prioritize corrective actions for sustained gains.
• Coordinate across global sites to standardize operating practices while meeting local needs.
