Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a VP of Operations in Denver, Colorado to lead critical growth initiatives across the organization. This broad, hands-on role focuses on building infrastructure, improving processes, integrating businesses and technology, and guiding teams at the executive level.

The ideal candidate combines strong operational leadership with insurance-industry experience and is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. Applied Epic experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive operations or general management experience.
• Applied Epic experience strongly preferred.
• Insurance industry experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional operations and scalable processes.
• Experience with M&A, post-acquisition integration or business transformation.
• Strong analytical, project-management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Commercially minded, solutions-oriented and able to create structure and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations, build scalable processes, establish KPIs and drive efficiency, profitability and service improvements.
• Partner with executives to translate strategy into execution and serve as a cross-functional business leader.
• Manage key vendors, including selection, negotiation, performance and optimization.
• Oversee back-office functions, systems and processes supporting growth, including finance, administration, compliance and technology.
• Lead operational due diligence and post-acquisition integration, coordinating systems, processes, people and data.
• Drive systems integration, automation, reporting and technology initiatives that support scale.
• Applied Epic experience strongly preferred, particularly implementations, integrations, data migration or process optimization.
