Job summary

MDS Staffing seeks a results-driven Vice President of Operations to lead manufacturing excellence in Allegheny County, PA. This executive will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while partnering with senior leaders to execute long-range operational goals.

With 10+ years in leadership roles and a Lean Black Belt, you will expand operations, manage budgets, and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in progressively responsible roles with functional leadership in a high-growth, multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Lean Black Belt preferred.
• BS/BA required; MBA/MA preferred.
• Ability to expand operations to meet growth strategies.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and financial management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team member engagement and morale.
• Act as a trusted operational advisor and business partner for the President and senior leaders.
• Apply Lean and continuous improvement to support strategic initiatives and organizational planning.
• Establish and administer the budget to ensure profitability and sustainability.
• Lead expansion of operations to meet growth strategies.
• Foster a positive culture and drive collaboration, communication, and inclusion.
• Participate in quarterly management reviews with the parent company and executives.
• Manage capital and operating expenditures and overhead to meet financial goals.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
• Identify training needs and ensure proper training is provided.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety, environmental regulations, and ethics.
• Establish and utilize metrics to measure and communicate results.
