Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a VP in Non-Financial Risk & Controls Engineering Product Management to lead strategy and execution across a portfolio of products and transformation initiatives.

You will manage a team of product managers, partner with Risk, Compliance and Engineering stakeholders, and help translate business strategy into clear product roadmaps and scalable technology solutions. This role operates in a global, fast-paced environment requiring strong leadership and governance discipline.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Risk Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in product management, program management, strategy, transformation, risk management, or technology delivery.
• Experience leveraging AI within product management and the broader software development lifecycle.
• Experience managing people, developing talent, and leading teams through complex delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of product management from strategy through execution, including design, delivery planning, testing, release readiness, adoption, and post-launch monitoring.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of initiatives, balance competing priorities, and drive execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify technical content for non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify root causes, frame decisions, and build consensus.
• Ability to work well in a global, multi-tasking environment and under pressure.
• Adaptability and comfort operating with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of product managers responsible for delivering products, platforms, and strategic initiatives.
• Establish clear product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization in line with Engineering objectives and divisional priorities.
• Partner with sponsors, product owners, senior stakeholders, and engineering leads to define vision, success measures, and execution plans.
• Guide product managers through all stages of the product lifecycle including research, requirements, delivery, and post-launch monitoring.
• Rationalize business and user requirements across products to deliver scalable solutions.
• Shape business needs, technology requirements, and product design decisions for practical, sustainable outcomes.
• Drive decision-making across complex initiatives including trade-offs and risk management.
• Collaborate with Engineering to remove roadblocks and translate requirements into clear outcomes.
• Maintain portfolio visibility to identify overlaps and reuse opportunities.
• Coach and mentor product managers to build strong judgment and stakeholder management.
• Promote discipline with documentation, backlog management, and launch readiness across the team.
• Represent PM in senior governance discussions and cross-divisional planning.
