Weihe Engineers is seeking a visionary Vice President of Information Technology in Carmel, IN. This executive role partners with the leadership team to craft IT strategy, align systems with growth, and drive AI initiatives across the organization.

You will oversee MSP relationships, implement enterprise solutions, and ensure robust governance and security. The position requires leading technology strategy, managing budgets, and fostering innovation in a mid-size engineering services firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; 10+ years of IT experience considered.
• 8-12+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership roles.
• Experience with MSP/vendor relationships.
• Strong capability in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
• Experience leading technology strategy beyond operations.
• Familiarity with AEC industry tools (AutoDesk AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Deltek Ajera).
• Experience implementing AI and automation solutions in business.
• Strong communication skills translating tech to business value.
• Ability to operate in a mid-size company with lean IT staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with growth and project delivery.
• Advise executive leadership on systems, risk, cybersecurity, and innovation.
• Oversee MSP relationships, including SLAs, budgeting, and alignment.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of enterprise systems (ERP, PM, docs).
• Identify AI/automation opportunities and drive related initiatives.
• Establish IT governance and data management policies; ensure compliance.
• Partner with leaders to identify tech-driven process improvements.
• Manage IT budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
• Lead onboarding/offboarding and coordination with HR.
• Guide AI committee and governance for responsible use.
