Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Vice President of Information Technology to define and execute a comprehensive ICT strategy enabling growth and operational resilience. This hybrid role in Holland, MI (or Lake Orion, MI) leads architecture, security, data/AI, and enterprise platforms while guiding a global team toward modernization and AI-enabled value creation.

You will report to the executive team, manage budgets and vendors, and drive digital transformation across manufacturing

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive enterprise IT leadership, including 5+ years at Senior Director/VP level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline; master's degree preferred.
• Proven track record leading large IT modernization, cybersecurity, data platforms, and AI/digital transformation initiatives.
• Certifications: TOGAF, ITIL, PMP/Agile, cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), CISSP/CISM or similar.
• Experience managing international, multicultural teams across time zones.
• Strong financial management, budgeting, and vendor negotiation skills.
• Prior experience in automation or with Hitachi Group companies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a 3–5-year ICT strategy aligned to business objectives with a measurable roadmap.
• Lead enterprise architecture, applications, infrastructure, and data/AI initiatives across the organization.
• Institute security and risk programs, regulatory compliance, and incident response readiness.
• Oversee cloud, data platforms, collaboration tools, and IT service management with strong SLAs.
• Lead talent development, succession planning, and cross-functional leadership across global teams.
