Fracht Group, via Omnitrans, seeks a Vice President of Import Operations & Customs Brokerage in Lynbrook, NY. This role leads air and ocean imports, ensures CBP compliance, and drives strategic direction and profitability for the organization.

The VP will lead and develop the teams, advance operational efficiencies, support business development, and guide HTS classification and valuation matters while maintaining a high-performing work environment.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License is required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Customs Brokerage and related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or senior leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, valuation, and entry processes.
• Proven leadership of operational teams and profitability improvements.
• Strong commercial acumen to support business development and customer relations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for Import Operations and Customs Brokerage (air and ocean imports).
• Ensure CBP compliance and adherence to applicable laws and company policies.
• Lead, develop, and support the Import Operations and Customs Brokerage teams; manage performance.
• Stay current with CBP changes and guidance on import requirements and trade programs.
• Evaluate staffing, workflows, and technology to improve efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
• Develop SOPs, internal controls, metrics, and conduct periodic reviews and audits.
• Provide senior guidance on HTS classification, valuation, and complex import matters.
• Partner with Sales and leadership to support business development and growth.
• Collaborate with domestic and international offices to coordinate import solutions.
