Job summary

Fracht Usa – Omnitrans, part of the Fracht Group, is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join our New York/Long Island team in Lynbrook, NY. The role handles U.S. import shipments from pre-alert through Customs clearance and final delivery.

The ideal candidate has hands-on customs entry writing and import forwarding experience, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of Customs brokerage/entry writing experience.
• Hands-on import air and ocean forwarding experience.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, ISF filings, and PGA requirements.
• Ability to independently manage import shipments from pre-alert/arrival through Customs clearance and final delivery.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Process U.S. Customs and PGA entries for clearance of imported goods.
• Review import documentation for accuracy, completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure timely filing of ISF and Customs entries.
• Coordinate cargo availability and release with carriers and service providers.
• Track shipments and provide proactive status updates to customers.
• Communicate with CBP, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
