Slate is hiring a Distinguished Engineer of Generative AI to architect and ship the GenAI platform for Slate.Auto, spanning context and data layers, model serving, and agent frameworks. You will embed AI into manufacturing with robotics, vision, and predictive maintenance, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• BS required; MS/PhD preferred in CS/ML/Robotics or related field.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and production-grade model deployment.
• Experience designing multi-agent systems and agent coordination in manufacturing.
• Proven track record delivering scalable GenAI platforms for physical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the end-to-end GenAI platform for Slate.Auto at scale.
• Build industry-leading AI systems for manufacturing with context and data layers.
• Deploy AI into factory floor processes: robotics, computer vision, maintenance.
• Lead a lean GenAI engineering team and set engineering standards.
