Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking a strategic VP to design and deliver an enterprise Generative AI platform. You will lead Bedrock, Foundry, and Databricks initiatives, setting technical direction and mentoring senior engineers to enable data scientists and application teams to ship Gen AI solutions at scale.

The role requires deep expertise in AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry/OpenAI, and Databricks, plus strong IaC, CI/CD, FinOps, and developer tooling capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in platform/cloud/SRE engineering.
• 10+ years hands‑on AWS and Azure with production depth in Bedrock, Azure OpenAI/Foundry, and Databricks.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering, or IT.
• Financial services or regulated‑industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for executive partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise Bedrock strategy: model access governance, provisioned throughput, cross‑region inference.
• Architect Azure OpenAI patterns (PTU vs. PAYG, capacity planning) across GPT‑4o/4.1 and o‑series.
• Lead Databricks Mosaic AI adoption: Vector Search, MLflow, Unity Catalog.
• Develop multi‑cloud IaC with CDK L2/L3, Bicep, Terraform for scalable AI infra.
• Own Harness pipelines, templates, and delegates; align with GitOps and policy‑as‑code.
• Mentor senior engineers and partner with Data, MLOps, Security, and Application leadership.
