Job summary

Piedmont Electric Cooperative is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead all financial activities, ensure long-term planning, and manage risk for the organization's future. This role oversees shared accounting services and collaborates with the executive team to maintain strong internal controls.

The VP of Finance will direct budgeting, financial reporting, compliance with state and federal laws, and major funding initiatives to support grid reliability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or similar area.
• Ten years of senior-level accounting experience with at least five years in supervision.
• CPA license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting to management, the Board, lenders, and other stakeholders.
• Manage budgeting process and capital needs planning.
• Oversee A/P, A/R, payroll, GL, and related financial operations.
• Develop forecasts and models for rate schedules and budgets; align with forecasts.
• Oversee grant processes (FEMA) and ensure regulatory compliance.
