Job summary

Ozarks Electric Cooperative seeks an executive Vice President of Power Supply to lead the cooperative’s wholesale power strategy and resource planning. You will oversee procurement, market participation, risk management, and portfolio optimization while aligning the power supply with long‑term financial goals.

System with high reliability, you will engage with regulators, market organizations, and board leadership. Travel is required as part of executive responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, business or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Ten or more years of progressive experience in power supply, energy markets, trading, or resource planning; leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in wholesale power markets, risk management, and financial modeling; executive leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for wholesale power activities, market operations, and settlements.
• Lead integrated resource planning, load forecasting, and long-term power supply planning.
• Direct procurement, optimization, and risk management of wholesale power supply; oversee contracts and supplier relationships.
• Collaborate on commodity risk management policies; lead forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Evaluate generation resources, storage technologies, and other options to enhance long‑term strategy.
• Support budgeting, capital planning, and alignment of power supply with financial objectives.
• Lead and develop power supply and analytics teams; represent the cooperative to market bodies and regulators.
