We are seeking a VP of Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis — a strategic, hands-on finance leader who excels at transforming data into strategic insights and supporting high-growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting activities, including statutory, GAAP, capital modeling, tax, and regulatory filings.
• Oversee the transition from STAT to GAAP and ensure accurate quarterly and annual reports.
• Develop and manage the financial planning process—budgets, forecasts, and scenario modeling—and align capital with strategic goals.
• Analyze complex data to generate insights that support growth, profitability, and executive decision-making.
• Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and operations teams to model performance and reinsurance impacts.
• Upgrade reporting tools, streamline workflows, and foster a tech-forward, agile finance environment.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in financial reporting and planning within insurance or reinsurance, with leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency in STAT and GAAP; familiarity with Schedule F and P is a plus.
• Understanding of delegated underwriting authority, reinsurance structures, and capital strategies.
• CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Strong skills in Excel and reporting/ planning systems.
• Strategic mindset with operational execution capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder influence ability.
