Job summary

Metric DCX, a national General Contractor, seeks a Vice President of Field Operations to lead field execution across a major hyperscale data center program. This is a national travel role overseeing the entire field operation, driving performance from mobilization through commissioning and turnover, and leading senior field leadership teams.

Ideal candidates will have 20+ years in commercial construction, deep hyperscale data center experience, and a proven ability to manage large field teams

Qualifications

• 20+ years in commercial construction.
• Significant hyperscale data center / mission-critical experience.
• Proven experience leading large field teams and managing senior field leadership.
• Strong understanding of hyperscale construction, MEP systems, commissioning, and turnover.
• Experience delivering large-scale data center projects valued in hundreds of millions or billions.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall field operations for hyperscale data center construction.
• Manage and develop General Superintendents, Senior Superintendents, MEP leadership, and field teams.
• Own field execution across safety, schedule, quality, logistics, manpower, and production.
• Partner with project executives, operations leadership, preconstruction, and clients.
• Drive accountability across subcontractors and trade partners.
• Oversee complex MEP installation, commissioning, turnover, and phased delivery.
• Establish field standards and best practices across projects.
• Support staffing, succession planning, and growth of the mission-critical division.
• Serve as a senior field representative with hyperscale clients and executive leadership.
