Job summary

VectorWave Corporation in the Greater Boston area is hiring our first VP of Engineering to scale from prototype to production-ready systems. You will lead the engineering organization, work with the CTO, and contribute hands-on where needed.

You’ll build a multi-disciplinary team spanning RF hardware, analog/digital design, packaging, firmware, and software tooling, delivering milestones aligned to customer roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in engineering, including 5+ years leading teams that span hardware and software.
• Track record of leading product development and introduction: at least one hardware product with firmware and software brought to production.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in at least one discipline among RF, machine learning for RF or signal processing, or system-in-package production.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the engineering team: hiring plan, recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance.
• Own engineering planning and delivery: roadmaps, milestones, resourcing, and trade-offs between schedule, cost, and performance.
• Own the path to production: design, build, test, and characterization with partners.
• Evaluate commercial partners for production and manage relationships with them.
• Structure and improve the lab, test infrastructure, and engineering practices.
