Job summary

VectorWave Corporation is seeking an RF embedded firmware engineer to design programmable subsystems for the APU and work closely with analog RF and machine learning teams to enable AI-enabled signal processing at the edge.

You will define subsystems, select RF/memory/MPU components, and implement control interfaces to advance a compact, low-latency wireless platform in a hands-on, interdisciplinary environment in the Greater Boston area.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Physics.
• Experience interfacing ADCs/DACs and on-board memory.
• Experience programming MPUs/SoCs/edge FPGAs.
• Ability to design system-level interfaces between components.
• Mathematical maturity and understanding of circuit physics.
• Experience analog system characterization.
• Experience hardware stabilization for RF/analog systems.

Responsibilities

• Design subsystems for the APU’s programmable edge compute.
• Select components and design circuit systems integrating RF components, memory, and microprocessors.
• Program the control scheme and interface for the programmable APU subsystem.
• Evaluate the performance of the programmable APU subsystem against internal and customer KPIs.
• Collaborate with RF, ML, and system engineers to ensure inter‑system compatibility.
