Job summary

Trueline, a long-established American manufacturer of pipe fittings and flow-control products, seeks a Vice President of Engineering to lead all engineering at its high-volume foundry and manufacturing campus in Columbia, PA. You will oversee a 13-person engineering team and $20-22 million in annual capital projects, with a base salary of $230,000-$240,000 plus a 25% bonus target.

The role emphasizes modernization, Industry 4.0 integration, and a collaborative, results-driven leadership style.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy industrial manufacturing with engineering leadership.
• Foundry leadership in a high-volume operation.
• 5+ years leading technical teams.
• Experience automating manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of casting, metallurgy, heat treatment, and material properties.
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar capital projects portfolios.
• Willingness to relocate to Columbia, PA with relocation support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy to drive operational excellence and long-term growth across the foundry and campus.
• Lead 13 direct reports across engineering, tooling, process, and metallurgical functions.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and technical direction for the site.
• Optimize melting, molding, core-making, pouring, heat-treating, and finishing operations for yield and throughput.
• Lead the plant’s automation roadmap toward Industry 4.0 integration.
• Evaluate and introduce new molding and melt technologies, robotics, and automation.
• Direct gating systems, risers, patterns, fixtures, and tooling design and development.
• Lead new product introductions from concept through production.
• Ensure ISO standards compliance and safety/regulatory requirements.
