Job summary

Clearbrook is seeking a hands-on Vice President, Data & AI Strategy to operationalize the enterprise’s data and AI capability. You will translate strategy into working processes, tooling, and day-to-day practice across business domains, collaborating with data stewards, analysts, data scientists, and engineers.

This 100% in-office role requires on-site work at a designated office; leadership, governance, and master data initiatives are central to success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data strategy, data governance, data management, or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of people leadership experience managing teams or cross-functional workstreams.
• Enterprise-scale data governance or data management program delivery experience.
• Experience within insurance, financial services, or a related industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of master data management, data architecture, and modern data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Implement our enterprise data governance framework and operating model across domains.
• Maintain data ownership, standards, quality processes, and issue escalation to leadership.
• Drive day-to-day governance adoption within business domains (Policy, Claims, Finance, etc.).
• Build and maintain centralized data dictionary and standardized definitions.
• Embed governance checkpoints into existing workflows with minimal delivery friction.
• Lead external data strategy, onboarding of new sources, and provider negotiations.
• Operate MDM capabilities and data lifecycle processes for core domains.
• Run program management for strategic data & AI initiatives, with reporting to leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution across business, IT, data engineering, analytics, and data science teams.
