Job summary

ID.me is seeking a dynamic, strategic VP of Communications to lead our corporate, product, and crisis communications across B2B, B2C and government audiences. This leader will guide executive messaging, brand narrative, and thought leadership while partnering with marketing, sales and product to amplify key narratives.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in communications with senior leadership experience, strong media relations, and a track record in crisis management and reputation defense.

Qualifications

• Strong storyteller with executive communications experience.
• 15+ years in communications with at least 6 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven success in crisis management, reputation defense, and high-stakes corporate storytelling.
• Experience with media and analyst relations and leadership of cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a holistic communications strategy that establishes the company as an industry leader and innovator in the tech space.
• Oversee executive communications, including blogs, media interviews, events, and thought leadership content for key senior leaders.
• Drive strategic content such as published papers, industry insights, and co-branded announcements to reinforce credibility and differentiation.
• Partner with marketing, sales and product to develop and manage a content strategy for owned and earned channels to amplify key narratives.
• Lead crisis and reputation management across all channels.
• Shape relationships with top-tier media, analysts, and influencers to drive positive coverage and thought leadership.
