Strong technology and AI experience required.
We’re looking for an experienced operations leader who knows how to run vacation rental operations and use technology to make them work better. You should already use AI tools regularly and have hands‑on experience improving workflows, setting up software, and implementing automation.
You’ll work alongside our existing operations team to coordinate maintenance, manage vendors and cleaners, and make sure each property has the people, processes, and systems it needs to run correctly.
This is a hands‑on leadership role. You need to be comfortable managing people, making decisions, and following an issue through until the work is completed and verified.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate maintenance. Prioritize issues, assign the right vendor, track repairs, and confirm completion. Keep the team informed about anything that could affect an upcoming stay.
- Manage vendors. Source and evaluate cleaners, handymen, HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, pool services, and other providers. Set expectations for pricing, responsiveness, and quality, and maintain backup coverage.
- Oversee cleaning and property readiness. Make sure turnovers are scheduled correctly, inspections happen, supplies are stocked, and cleaning issues get resolved before guests arrive.
- Set up property operations. Ensure each property has assigned vendors, cleaning instructions, access procedures, maintenance schedules, property information, and clear responsibility for recurring tasks.
- Build preventive maintenance schedules. Organize deep cleans, filter changes, equipment servicing, and routine inspections to reduce avoidable problems.
- Improve systems and workflows. Find gaps in how work is assigned, tracked, and completed. Write clear procedures and make sure the team follows them.
- Implement AI and automation. Set up tools that reduce manual follow‑up, organize property information, improve reporting, and help the team catch missed tasks. Check their accuracy and resolve failures.
- Manage accountability. Work with existing team leaders to set priorities, clarify responsibilities, and address overdue work or recurring performance issues.
- Handle operational escalations. Help resolve urgent property and guest issues, coordinate the response, and address the cause.
- Track performance and costs. Monitor maintenance response times, cleaning quality, property readiness, vendor spending, and unresolved issues.
What We're Looking For:
- Substantial experience leading operations in vacation rentals, hospitality, or property management.
- Experience managing teams, cleaners, maintenance providers, and outside vendors across multiple properties.
- Strong working knowledge of AI tools, agentic platforms, automation software, property management systems, and task management tools.
- Specific examples of AI systems or automated workflows you personally built or implemented, including the results.
- The ability to learn software quickly, configure workflows, and troubleshoot problems.
- Strong judgment when deciding what needs immediate attention, what can wait, and when to escape.
- Clear communication and consistent follow-through.
- Experience building processes that other people can understand and use.
Compensation
$75,000–$85,000 annual base salary, plus performance bonuses.
