Job summary

Seattle Storm seeks a Vice President of Business Intelligence to build the BI function from the ground up, partnering with the COO to drive data-informed revenue growth across ticketing, partnerships, and marketing.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on analytics, establishing data infrastructure, governance, and executive dashboards (Tableau/Snowflake) to surface insights and guide key decisions in a fast-paced sports business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, economics, math, statistics, data science or similar quantitative discipline. Post graduate degree preferred.
• 7-10+ years of business strategy and analytics experience
• 2+ years experience managing people
• Expertise in complex modeling, statistical forecasting, and segmentation methodologies, with the ability to apply them to revenue, ticketing, and fan behavior data.
• Proven experience architecting and overseeing enterprise data warehouse environments (Snowflake or similar), and building executive-facing dashboards and visualizations.
• A track record of driving business impact through influence and collaboration with revenue departments in a multi-stakeholder, fast-growing, and dynamic environment.
• Experience working in or with professional sports teams and/or leagues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic business analysis and BI roadmap: establish, maintain, and evolve data collection and delivery for key stakeholder groups.
• Business Intelligence Team Leadership: manage and grow data team to meet revenue needs.
• Develop and implement BI systems to support revenue growth; deploy data collection and analytics tools.
• Reporting & analytics: end-to-end reporting including executive dashboards and revenue line reporting.
• Lead organizational data integrity, privacy, and governance across the company.
• Data-informed decision making: leverage data and tech to drive business results; collaborate on staff training.
• Act as main contact for BI tech and vendors; define scope and costs for projects.
• Monitor trends in data science and AI; pursue automation opportunities and GenAI strategy.
