Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, seeks a technology executive to guide software engineering and advance AI strategy across MEDHOST’s product and platform portfolio. This leader will build high-performing teams and drive AI-first innovation across AI-DLC and product lines.

The role requires steering technology strategy, setting KPIs, and translating business goals into actionable priorities while collaborating with executives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive technology experience including 8+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience.
• 3-5+ years’ experience with EHR and healthcare software environments.
• Demonstrated success leading modernization and software platform transformation initiatives.
• Deep expertise in modern software engineering practices, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and enterprise architecture.
• Proven experience implementing AI and machine learning capabilities within enterprise products and AI-DLC workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing software engineering organization accountable for product delivery, technology evolution, security, reliability, and operational outcomes.
• Improve delivery predictability, developer productivity, software quality, resiliency, scalability, and cost effectiveness while balancing innovation, modernization, and commitments.
• Partner closely with executive leadership, product management, operations, and security to translate business strategy into executable technology priorities and investment decisions.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to measure strategic progress, software engineering effectiveness, AI adoption, and business impact.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to create competitive advantage through innovation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology and AI-related opportunities, risks, and industry trends.
