Job summary

Goldman Sachs is forming an AI Agentic Systems team seeking entrepreneurial Software Engineers to design and deploy swarms of agents that understand, plan, transform, and validate modernized applications across the firm’s technology estate.

You will help incubate a new paradigm in software engineering—moving from static automation to dynamic, goal-oriented agentic workflows across business units, with strong emphasis on cloud-native architecture and AI-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in Python/Go/Java/JavaScript with distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
• Direct experience deploying LLM-based agents in production.
• Experience designing benchmarks and quality metrics for AI systems.
• Experience applying agentic patterns to data analysis, observability, optimization, or planning.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy multi-agent systems (swarms) with autonomous planning, reasoning, and execution across distributed cloud environments.
• Build human-in-the-loop evaluation frameworks and observability mechanisms for continuous agent improvement.
• Design and build integrations with APIs, developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, data platforms, or operational systems.
• Partner with diverse business units to identify high-impact use cases for agents, translating needs into agentic workflows.
