Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Progressive accounting experience with financial close, reconciliations, and external-audit support; banking/SEC experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX controls, SEC reporting concepts.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Workday or Jack Henry beneficial.
• Attention to detail, problem solving, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly binders, cash-flow workpapers, projections, signoffs and memos, and schedules for earnings releases and Form 10-Q/10-K/Proxy filings.
• Support SEC and regulatory reporting through tie-outs, rollforwards, disclosures, footnotes and filing reviews.
• Coordinate SOX testing, external-audit walkthroughs, confirmations, sample requests, and signatures; liaise among auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Execute month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, rollforwards, and variance investigations.
• Perform fixed-asset and depreciation analysis; review capitalization and depreciation profiles and align with tax guidance.
• Prepare and analyze specialized accounting schedules and checks.
• Analyze leases, securities activity, investments, loan and deposit trends for completeness and accuracy.
• Support mergers and acquisitions for due diligence and related SEC activities.
• Communicate with CFOs, finance and accounting personnel, executives, and auditors; deliver organized, review-ready workpapers on schedule.
