The Save Mart Companies, a leading West Coast grocery retailer with over 200 stores, seeks a strategic Vice President of Accounting in Modesto, CA. You will oversee close processes, financial reporting, tax and treasury, partnering with executives to ensure GAAP and SOX compliance and strong internal controls.

You will mentor the accounting team, drive system and process improvements, coordinate with FP&A, Legal and auditors, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual board analyses and

Qualifications

• Public accounting experience with audit leadership.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Experience with tax and treasury planning.
• Proven team leadership and talent development.
• Excellent communication across stakeholders.
• Experience guiding complex transactions (equity, debt, M&A).

Responsabilités

• Oversee close & audit processes for GAAP compliance and timely reporting.
• Direct financial reporting including intercompany consolidations and variance analyses.
• Lead tax, treasury and financial operations, including cash forecasting and working capital management.
