Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical/Mechanical or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial/utility-scale power plant operations and maintenance.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or coordination role managing field technicians or third-party service providers.
• Hands-on experience with CMMS platforms, work orders, and maintenance documentation.
• Familiarity with SCADA or remote monitoring platforms used to track solar asset performance.

Job description

Manage field technicians and third-party service providers, overseeing daily operations and maintenance activities across commercial solar facilities.

Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, work orders, technician schedules, and service provider activities using CMMS platforms.

Monitor solar sites through SCADA and remote monitoring platforms, identifying equipment outages and coordinating timely resolution.

Oversee troubleshooting of inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, and other PV system components to maintain plant performance and availability.

Lead daily standup meetings, track maintenance progress, review work orders, and ensure timely documentation and reporting.

Ensure all field activities meet safety standards while coordinating with operations and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical/Mechanical discipline, or related field; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered instead of a degree
• 5+ years of experience in commercial or utility-scale power plant operations and maintenance, field service, or a related industrial maintenance environment. Commercial preferred.
• 2+ years in a supervisory, lead, or coordination role managing field technicians or third-party service providers
• Hands-on experience with CMMS platforms, work order management, and maintenance documentation
• Familiarity with SCADA or remote monitoring platforms used to track solar asset performance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong working knowledge of solar PV system components, including inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, and balance-of-system equipment
• Solid understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices and root-cause troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical systems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing work orders across multiple sites
