Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey seeks a Vice President, Neurosciences – Neurosurgery to lead expansion of neurosurgical services and integrate the RWJBH/Rutgers platform. The role collaborates with Rutgers leadership to advance neuroscience across the integrated health system.

The VP will focus on growth, quality, patient experience, and market leadership, reporting to senior executives and Rutgers faculty leadership in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership in a hospital system or academic medical center.
• Experience leading a system-wide service line and translating strategy into growth.
• Ability to navigate a matrixed organization with physicians and executives.

Responsibilities

• Expand neurosurgical services across RWJBH and Rutgers.
• Lead growth initiatives, including new programs and capital investments.
• Standardize clinical and operational practices across the network.
• Monitor quality, patient experience, and outcomes with metrics.
• Strengthen referral networks and brand in region and nationally.
• Partner with Rutgers leadership to align priorities and integration.
• Recruit physicians, APPs, and expand market share.
• Drive telehealth capabilities and academic programs.
