Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Cardiac Surgical Services to lead a system-wide cardiac surgical network across tertiary centers, community hospitals, and ambulatory settings. The SVP will align physicians, hospital leaders, Rutgers faculty, and administration to advance clinical excellence, access, growth, and value-based care.

The role reports to the Chief Clinical Officer and requires a physician executive with a track record in leading integrated cardiac programs,

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• State licensure in New Jersey or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide cardiac surgery strategy with hospital and physician leaders to standardize care and improve outcomes.
• Partner with cardiology, heart failure, transplant, and academic leaders to expand access and grow centers of excellence.
• Review clinical, operational and financial data to identify opportunities, implement best practices, and achieve top-tier outcomes.
