Job summary

EDENS Inc is seeking a Senior Vice President, Retail Real Estate Legal to serve as the primary senior legal partner for regional portfolios. You will lead complex transactions, advise on deal economics, and direct a legal team including outside counsel.

This on-site role will collaborate with executive leadership in Dallas, TX, and other market centers. The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years of retail leasing, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and a track record of strategic business

Qualifications

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active U.S. bar admission.
8-10+ years of progressive legal experience with substantial retail leasing.
Experience leading complex retail leasing transactions and in-house leadership.
Proven ability to collaborate with senior leaders and manage outside counsel.
Experience with legal operations, contract lifecycle management, and legal tech.
Strong executive presence and ability to influence across functions.

Responsibilities

Lead complex retail leasing transactions including grocery and anchor leases.
Advise Investment Management, Development, Leasing, and Finance on deal economics.
Direct and oversee department attorneys, paralegals, and outside counsel.
Improve templates, playbooks, workflows, and knowledge management.
Represent the Legal function in leadership meetings and cross-functional groups.
Mentor and develop talent within the legal team.
